I recently did a portrait shoot with my wonderful friend, Joye. We have known each other since we were kids and it has been such a pleasure watching her grow up through the years! In fact, when she arrived for the shoot armed with a box of old hats and a variety of outfits I couldn’t help but smile and feel a bit like we were kids again playing dress-up. With a couple of degrees behind us and a variety of stamps in our passports, Joye is one of those people you can confide in and laugh with. Which makes for a super enjoyable shoot! Especially since she is also absolutely beautiful and makes for one heck of a model!

This is the photo my teacher selected for critique this week. Doesn’t Joye have such a great, vintage look?! I can’t wait to share more images with you all soon!

Just wanted to let you know that I have posted information about my 2nd assignment for my commercial class on my new technical blog. The assignment was “Mimic the Master”, so we had to choose an image we thought was interesting/challenging and imitate it in the studio this week.

I hope all of you are well. Thank you for being such wonderful lights of inspiration and insight into my life. As you know, I am in my final semester and a half of photography school! Which is honestly hard for me to wrap my head around. It seems like we just got started! Anyway, for my commercial class this semester we have to have a technical blog for all of our assignments… basically we are going green for our journals this semester! Which means, if you would like, you can see some of the crazy workings behind some of my images!
